This year, Longchamp, which specializes in lightweight luxury handbags, will open new stores in Florence, Vienna, Macau, Toronto and two cities in China. At the same time, the company plans to incorporate five dealership storefronts in Singapore into its direct retail network and set up subsidiaries in Canada, Singapore, Austria and Macau.
Cassegrain noted, “Meeting growing global market demand, increasing export levels, and filling orders in the shortest time possible are all extremely important parts of the equation for us.”
In 2014, Longchamp invested €22 million in a logistics centre in the French town of Segré and unveiled a new SAP management system that will be fully operational over the next two years. In addition, the company has opened more training courses in western France.
